Eco-friendly LED Lighting, Ceiling Fans
and Automated Lighting

The home is equipped with eco-friendly LED lighting. This accent lighting can often have a 3-5 second delay before the lights illuminate after you have turned the switch on.

This delay is frequently observed with the shelf LED lighting by the fireplace, the kitchen cabinet accent LEDs, and the DC ceiling fans. This delayed operation is normal for this type of eco-friendly lighting.

Integrated Device Charging is available for USB-A and USB-C devices throughout the home. You can conveniently charge most devices without the need of an additional charger. Just plug your cable into the corresponding built-in port located in the center of the wall outlet (see image below).

Automated Lighting:

  • The outside front door lights operate from dusk until dawn but can be turned on or off manually using the wall switch to the right of the front door.

  • The kitchen accent lighting inside and under the cabinets turn on around 4pm and turn off around 11pm. These lights can be turned on or off manually using the wall switch to the right of the kitchen sink.

  • The outdoor gazebo string lights are fully automated and cannot be manually turned on or off. They illuminate around 4pm and turn off around  10:30pm. There are outlets in the gazebo for your convenience those outlets have integrated USB-A and USB-C chargers.

  • Arcade accent lighting (LEDs, signage, icon graphics, etc) is fully automated and cannot be turned on or off by the guest. This lighting turns on around noon and off around 10pm. We are happy to turn this lighting on/off as frequently as you like or for the duration of your stay. Just send us a text at (814)314-9150.

  • Automating lighting times will vary based on the seasonal variation of the sunset.

Thermostat - Heating and Cooling

Our Honeywell smart thermostat follows a preset schedule, but it allows you to easily adjust the temperature to ensure your comfort. We've provided these instructions to ensure you can adjust the temperature for your personal comfort at any time.

First, use MODE to select Heat or Cool

First Image:

The current home temperature is shown in the center with the largest numbers, to the right of the current temperature (circled in yellow) is how you adjust to a higher or lower temperature.

Second Image:

The center info will change once you adjust the temperature, be sure "Permanent" is selected before pressing "Done" (circled in red). This will force the thermostat to maintain the temperature you select. Failure to select "Permanent" will allow the thermostat to move back into the pre-programmed schedule.

DO NOT pull between the trees or in any other area of the yard. The extra available parking area, between the fire hydrant and the street sign, is 13 feet wide by 40 feet long. This area can accommodate two vehicles for a total of four vehicles (maximum) at the property.

DO NOT park on the side of the road with the grape vines or block any grape vines, your car will be towed WITHOUT warning!

Beach and Water Access

During summer months, our property provides direct access to our private beach utilizing our wooden stairs down the bluff. Then down the aluminum stairs from the top of the lake wall to the beach and waterfront. These commercial grade stairs are not difficult to transition but should be utilized with care, our beach is rocky, we recommend caution for anyone with mobility challenges.

After October (November thru April) the aluminum stairs are removed due to unexpected weather conditions. Access to the water can be reached utilizing the community access (head south down Old Lake Road) just a few homes away (pictured in the image.)

Gas Fireplace and Remote Operation

The fireplace remote control (pictured in the image) is kept to the left of the fireplace, next to the television remote, in a labeled remote control holder. Please return it to this location when not in use. Regardless of whether it is hot or cold outside, the fireplace is ready to operate at any time of the year.

Starting: Point the remote at the fireplace and press "on". The fireplace will light with a small flame. This flame will begin to get brighter and the flame will grow as the unit heats up. Once the unit reaches its preset temperature the blower will automatically activate to circulate the heat.

Stopping: When you are done enjoying the fireplace, simply point the remote at the unit and press "off". The blower will continue to circulate hot air until the unit fully cools down.

WARNING: Do NOT leave the fireplace unoccupied!

Its core purpose is ambiance, mood, and supplemental heat. It is NOT meant as a primary heat source or to replace the use of the central furnace.

Wood is available for purchase at most local stores including grocery, hardware, and convenience stores. Firewood is not provided but is often left behind, feel free to burn any firewood that has been left onsite.

You can find foldable yard seating in the storage containers on or near the rear patio. These chairs are intended for use anywhere on the property. You will also find outdoor games like: Cornhole in the storage containers.

Items in these containers are not weather resistant, please return them to the storage overnight or during unexpected weather.

Please keep the storage box lid locked down. We often get strong wind gusts overnight.
